Food for future generation Project
Food security around the world is now under increasing pressure due to various factors such as, the rapid growth of global population, the change of consumption and the climate change. All these factors are significant problems that need to be solved. Regarding that NRF gives attention to food issues seriously, therefore the project “Food for future generation” has been created with an intention of helping people to be full of deliciousness and joy. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic situation affecting the people’s ways of life, their occupation and their earning a living very harmfully. NRF collaborated with Scholars of Sustenance Thailand to be a part of helping the underprivileged and food-deprived in various areas by visiting and sharing “Shinpo Soy Milk” over that 38,441packs in Bangkok’s slum communities and suburbs.
In addition, on the occasion of the National Mother's Day, NRF organized an activity to give soya milk to mothers who came to pick up their children at the school in the Makkasan community road on August 10, 2020. Moreover, NRF has also constantly supported 40 kilograms of rice per month to the Grow Home Foundation in Chiang Rai for more than 5 months aiming to create a long-term food sustainability of 9600 meals. Another project that NRF donated rice and rice paper to Scholars of Sustenance Thailand to be used in the project “Krua Rak A-harn” on November 9, 2020 to help the disadvantaged and the poor in the communities in more than 11 communities or more than 6,930 meals.
The results of this project have supported the sharing of 55,919 meals over the course of the project, not only to dispel the hunger and to help them get enough nutrients, but also to fill the most vulnerable groups of society to improve their quality of life and move forward in the society.
